Tips for Truckers on the Road
TIP | WHY IT MATTERS |
1. Check Ontario 511 daily | Live updates on closures, camera views, and alternate routes |
2. Plan hauls early/late outside peak work hours | Most delays occur during 7 am–5 pm |
3. Stick to low-priority lanes when possible | Especially around bridge/shoulder work zones |
4. Watch for detours in rural zones | Especially in Uxbridge, Oxford, Muskoka. |
5. Stay on top of your rig’s service | Construction zone stress, bumps, and stop-and-go traffic make maintenance key |
