Tips for Truckers on the Road

TIP WHY IT MATTERS
1. Check Ontario 511 daily Live updates on closures, camera views, and alternate routes
2. Plan hauls early/late outside peak work hours Most delays occur during 7 am–5 pm
3. Stick to low-priority lanes when possible Especially around bridge/shoulder work zones
4. Watch for detours in rural zones Especially in Uxbridge, Oxford, Muskoka.
5. Stay on top of your rig’s service Construction zone stress, bumps, and stop-and-go traffic make maintenance key
